Free Skating Figures
The following 'figures' form a bridge between the edges and turns of English figures and the International Style of skating found on the Continent in the early decades of the 20th century. Most of them form the type of transitions and step sequences found in free skating programmes todays. Some became the foundation for compulsory dances.
